about me
I grewn up near Venice, in Italy.
Life took me up north, in Brussels, where do I live with my husband and my two kids.
Here the weather is quite different from Italy, but I have found my balance in this city that offered me many opportunities and let me discover a sleeping part of myself.
Working with clay and glazes is a deep way to connect to a part of me that I had forgot, and it gives me a sensation of peace and calm I was not experiencing since long time. With ceramics you need to focus on the materials, on the movements, and the rest of the world disappears around you. You don't know where the clay will take you, and you have to follow your hands letting your mind free.
It is unpredictable, unstable, different every time. And every time you open the kiln there is a surprise waiting for you, sometimes a good one, sometimes a bad one... and this teach you also to be patient and let things go.

I love how glazes can be different every time, and each piece can remind me of some far away galaxy or a deep ocean, in an unlimited experiment that never ends.
